All Men of Genius by Lev Rosen

Steampunk novel set at a fictional Victorian science college
where prodigy Violet Adams disguises herself as her twin
brother Ashton to study engineering. The plot follows secret
societies, romance (including Violet with the duke and Cecily,
Ashton with his coachman, and Miriam with Toby), and a
climactic automaton attack.

This book’s main concerns are; animal cruelty/invasive
experimentation (Victorian-era scientific culture), body horror,
coercive sexual assault (attempted), cross-dressing and gender
subversion, dubious consent, gore, prurient behaviors, sexual
exploitation of minors / underage prostitution, sexual activities,
sexual dialogue, sexual nudity, suicide and violence.
