A young boy plays baseball and recalls the discrimination and imprisonment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
This book contains references to discrimination.
I believe this book should be recommended with guidance. This books setting is when the U.S. Army required all people of Japanese descent to move to internment camps. In this story the dad decides the kids need a distraction so they build a baseball field and played baseball. After being in the internment camp for years the young boy faces discrimination from others but overcomes the stereotypes.
