Maybe One Day by Melissa Kantor

Sixteen-year-old ballet student Zoe Klein's world collapses when her lifelong best friend Olivia Greco is diagnosed with AML leukemia. While Olivia undergoes chemo, a bone marrow transplant, and hospice, Zoe navigates guilt, underage drinking, a secret romance with Olivia's brother's best friend Calvin, and the girls' fractured friendship until Olivia dies.

Controversial gender and religious commentary, inexplicit sexual activities, profanity, medical trauma/illness, and underage alcohol use.
