Not Quite Snow White by Ashley Franklin

This is a picture book about a black girl who loves to perform but is discouraged from playing the lead in her school's Snow White musical because of her skin color, height, and weight.

This book contains; body shaming and DEI/CRT.

While the book appears to imply that white children in today's society treats black children badly with name calling, the book does show how the main character overcame her self-doubt with the unwavering love of her parents.
